20 Fun Spring Bucket List Ideas And Inspiration

Spring is such a wonderful season where, after months of hibernation, cold, short days and long nights, things are starting to look up. The weather is improving, it’s warmer and lighter. The days feel longer and people have more energy and enthusiasm for doing activities.

I have created this Spring Bucket List with 20 fun things to do, try and see to add some fun into this season.

Do an Easter Egg Hunt

I couldn’t create a Spring Bucket List and not include Easter. Mainly for kids but also fun for adults and can be done either indoors or outside.

Fly a Kite

With the weather a little blustery in early Spring its the perfect time to get outside on a hill and fly a kite.

Go Fishing

Why not pack a picnic and take yourself off for the day for a spot of fishing. You can go on your own or as a group and enjoy a relaxing day.

Paint Eggs

Again this one can be linked to Easter but also to Spring itself. Adding a pop of colour into your home and can be a great way to get a little creative for an afternoon.

Make a Spring Wreath

I love a seasonal wreath so this had to be on the Spring Bucket List. It can really brighten up your doorway on those not so sunny days.

Pick Daffodils

This flower is such a symbol of Spring and can be found everywhere. Also a traditional gift for Mother’s Day.

Hang a Bird Feeder

Help the wildlife in your garden and hand out some bird feeders with seeds and fat balls. What birds will you get visiting?

Bake a Seasonal Pie

There are so many tasty ingredients at this time of year so why not take advantage and bake a pie using seasonal ingredients.

Plant Seeds

This is the time of year to start growing your seeds ready for the summer ahead. Whether it’s vegetables or flowers this is a fun activity and can be very rewarding.

Enjoy the Cherry Blossom

Another one that simply could not be missed off the Spring Bucket List, this time of year the trees and hedgerows are bursting with beautiful blossom, you can’t miss it.

Make a Simnel Cake

A traditional Easter cake made using a fruitcake recipie and topped with marzipan or almond paste.

Spring Clean Your Home

A Spring Bucket List would be nothing without the mention of a Spring Clean. Dust away the cobwebs and freshen up the cupboards, making your home feel fresh for the year ahead.

Enjoy the April Showers

April showers are often inevitable so why not make the most of them and enjoy them like a child. Go for a walk in the rain, splash in the puddles or curl up indoors and read a good book whilst listening to the rain.

Put Up an Easter Tree

Easter trees are becoming more popular and are a lovely way to add some colour to your home. You can buy trees or use large twigs from the garden and adorn them with painted eggs and fluffy chicks.

Star Gaze

Spring often has some amazing sights to see in the nights sky. From planets to space stations and constellations.

Eat Outside

As it gets dryer and warmer why not take some of your meals outside to enjoy them. Whether its a picnic or sat on a balcony, switch up your location.

Wake Up Earlier

Waking up earlier is hard in the winter with the short days, but in the spring it gets lighter earlier and darker later meaning it’s easier to wake up. Why not aim to get up a little earlier and enjoy the peacefulness of the mornings.

Host a Puzzle/Game Night

Grab your friends and family and host a night of games! Whether its a group jigsaw, a pub quiz, board game or electronic you’ll have a fab time.

Plant a Tree for Earth Day

Earth Day is held on 22nd April each year, so why not help out our planet and plant a tree, sow wildflower seeds or make a real effort to recycle more.
